Giggles and Feet

It has been a while since I have done an update. Sorry about that. Lots of things are going on. Jeremy and I both applied for new jobs, church stuff, and current jobs, not to mention Dillan on top of that keeps us busy. I didn't get the job I applied for, but we think it was a good thing. I, personally, think that there was a deeper reason I didn't get it. We are hoping that Jeremy gets the job he applied for. It would allow me to quit and stay home in the next year and it would include benefits. He likes the current job, but the pay isn't great and there are no benefits. But it gave him some experience, which is all we were looking for at the time he graduated. The only catch to the new job, if he gets it, is that we would be moving back to Logan! We are really excited about it. We love Logan and would not mind one bit moving back there. We will keep you updated. He is applying all over the place.

On to more important things... Dillan is finally takinggreat strides in walking. It is about time! After 6 months of walking around furniture you would think it was about time. So, that is excellent! We are so excited.

I decided that I would try and feed him peas for lunch. Try being the key word. Dillan hated the baby food peas. He literally would spit them out at you. The faces he would make were great. That was the only thing that we couldn't get him to eat. People kept telling me to try actual peas a little later and sure enough, he gobbled them right up. It was kind of funny. So, there isn't a single thing he won't eat. He eats everything I hate! I call him my little garbage disposal. Back to the peas though. The funniest part of the whole thing was that toward the end he decided that it was just easier to tip to cup into his mouth instead of using his fingers...faster rate of dispersion. You can see it in the video.

Then he got an early bath because we had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. I was in the other room and Jeremy got bath duty. I could just hear Dillan laughing his head off. I came in with the camera to catch it. Jeremy would pretend to sneeze and Dill would crack up. Too funny!

We also went to DI today looking for Duplo blocks. They are pricey at walmart so I figured I would try and get some second hand. They didn't have any, but they had this great xylophone. I got one of my old mallets out and cut it down to his size. It works great. What better can you do for a buck at DI?

Another bit of cheap entertainment is the bathroom cupboards. We only keep towels and toilet paper under there so no worries. He loves crawling in and out. He must think it is his secret hide out or something. If he disappears I know where I will look first I guess.

Jeremy was not keen on the idea of this at first, but he is warming up to it. I bought Dillan a baby. It is dressed in blue so it isn't super girly. All boys should have a baby. How else will he learn to take care of his little siblings? He loves it too. If you hand it to him he gives it a big hug. Now even Jeremy will play with the baby with Dillan. They are both good dads.
